Help For CAD

Preview product thumbnails from the Available Product Info. screen. Thumbnails are available whenever the blue thumbnail icon () appears to the left of the product summary. To preview a product thumbnail. click on the thumbnail icon.

Thumbnail images also appear in the company information panel on the left hand side of your screen when a specific product is being viewed (i.e. in the GIF, SPEC., PIC. or PDF view). If thumbnails are not currently available for a product, the company logo will appear.

CAD drawings are available for 1000's of products on CADdetails.com. In order to view them, you must be registered and logged in. Access CAD drawings from the Available Product Info. screen. CAD drawings are available whenever the red CAD button () accompanies the product summary. To preview a CAD drawing in your internet browser as a low resolution GIF, double click the applicable CAD button.

In the GIF view, you can chose to save the CAD information by selecting the yellow Download button () above the GIF preview. Once download is complete, you can insert the CAD file into AutoCAD, or any AutoCAD compatible CAD program. Note: to reduce download time, CADdetails drawings are saved as Zip files. All drawings on CADdetails.com are prepared to exacting industry standards including uniform page layout, font type and size, line type and layering, making them universally editable to reflect your firms signature graphic style.

Also in the GIF view, you can click "DWF" () to view the drawing in DWF (Design Web Format) using AutoDesk's DWF Viewer. Autodesk DWF Viewer is a small application that you can use to preview, pan, zoom, print and distribute files in DWF (Design Web Format) without AutoCAD software. It is availablefor download free of charge from www.Autodesk.com. In the DWF view, right click the drawing to display a menu of commands for moving around the drawing. Also by right clicking and choosing the 'Show' menu item, you can 'Show Hyperlinks' for easy navigation to associated URL's.

In the GIF view, click "DWF" () to view the drawing using AutoDesk's DWF Viewer. From your browser in the DWF Viewer window click the right mouse button and chose Fit in Window, which zooms the view in or out so that the drawing fills the available window. To print the file, right click and choose Print from the DWF Viewer right click menu. To print the CAD in black select thebox marked"Force the geometry of the DWF to black". Autodesk® DWF Viewer is a small application that you can use to preview, print and distribute files in DWF (Design Web Format™) without AutoCAD® software and is available available for download free of charge from www.Autodesk.com.
