To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is to confirm that Total Door is a Door System, manufactured/sourced by Total Door, Waterford, MI and it meets the definition of and qualifies as “domestic end products” as defined in the Buy American Act as found in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Sections 48 CFR 25.101 and 48 CFR 52.225-1 respectively.
CFR 25.101 The cost of domestic components must exceed 50 percent of the cost of all the components. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 431, this component test of the Buy American Act has been waived for acquisitions of COTS items (see 12.505(a)).
CFR 52.225-1 (2) An end product manufactured in the United States, if the cost of its components mined, products, or manufactured in the United States exceeds 50 percent of the cost of all its components.
(b) The Buy American Act (41 U.S.C. 10a-10d) provides a preference for domestic end products for supplies acquired for use in the United States.
