Meet the Team
Patricia Yulkowski is second-generation President and CEO to the privately held, American-owned and operated Total Door Systems.
For more than 40 years, Total Door Systems has built comprehensive integrated door systems, engineering and manufacturing all components and assembling them into one system.
Under Yulkowski’s leadership, Total Door Systems in 2010 moved into a new facility and over a three-year period re-engineered the company around LEAN manufacturing principles focused on quality, efficiency, sustainability and local sourcing. Their results: a 250 percent increase in efficiency, 68 percent reduction in scrap, and 100 percent on-time delivery. Total Door Systems are listed with the latest UL sustainable product guide.
Yulkowski has created a culture of continuous improvement at Total Door that ensures constant evaluation and innovation around the components included in the door systems, as well as the invention of new technologies and system enhancements that add to TDS’ status as the global leader of integrated access technologies.
Yulkowski is a current member of the American Institute of Architects Michigan, and past president of the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA).
She has received multiple honors for her outstanding leadership in the transformation of her company, including being selected by the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) to showcase TDS for its annual “tour of best manufacturing practices,” one of three companies selected by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) that represent the future of manufacturing; and the recipient of the RADTECH – President’s Award for outstanding leadership in the use of UV/EB manufacturing Technology.
Chief Operating Officer
Jeanne Kitchen
As Chief Operating Officer of Total Door Systems, Jeanne is responsible for the strategic and daily operations of the company, including contributing to the strategic development and business planning process; analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, and developing strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Under Jeanne’s leadership, Total Door Systems has remade its technology infrastructure, increasing information flow and efficiency, while reducing waste throughout the system; improved financial reporting systems, and key benchmarks for team development and growth.
Before joining Total Door Systems, Jeanne served in executive program development, systems & finance in the automotive supply and technology industries.
