We are sharing the sales presentation we gave to the Hilton Hotels global team. It was designed specifically for this meeting but is now available to you as a sales module for any upcoming hospitality pitches you might have. Even if you don’t need a hospitality presentation now, there are a lot of good selling points you can use with a broad range of customers.
Know Your Code Checklist & Microsite
Another way to generate leads is to offer potential clients and industry influencers something of value. Being compliant with the strictest life safety codes is part of our company DNA. We are creating a microsite that will address both. It will deliver something of value to your potential clients and plays up our life safety core values. This new “Know Your Code” microsite will feature a downloadable code checklist.
The microsite will walk visitors through the reasons their elevator needs protection and, of course, how Total Door’s integrated smoke containment systems gives them that needed protection.
When visiting the microsite, anyone will be able to download our “Know Your Code” checklist for free, as long as they provide their email address. Those contacts then become potential leads.
We believe this will become a great sales tool and lead generator for you. Once the microsite and checklist are finished and go live, we’ll let you know. Then we hope you will check it out and let us know what you think.
How to Use your AIA Materials
One way to easily connect with a large group of architects is to hold your own AIA Smoke Containment Strategies webinar. We have created an AIA presentation tool box for you with everything you need to accomplish this and placed it on your portal page.
Included in this tool box is an AIA-approved PowerPoint presentation, completely scripted for you to easily hold your own webinars. Just download the PowerPoint and practice a few times with the attached script. It’s a turnkey presentation that provides an easy way to prepare yourself for success.
Want to see an example of this presentation in action? We’ve got your back. The tool box also contains a video of Candace Kitchen presenting this very same webinar. So, you can watch it and get a feel for the flow of this presentation.
Candace is also presenting this AIA webinar twice a month through AEC Daily. Feel free to sit in on one of her presentations. These draw in architects from across the country. After each one, she sends you the contact information for the architects who attended from your area.

Black Hardware is now available
Black hardware is back after a long hiatus. To meet the growing demand, we are now offering our levers, grips, and exit devices in black.
Design is trending towards darker finishes. If an architect or builder is tying into this overall aesthetic, looking to match other doors or even a wall, black hardware gives them a good and easy solution.
You can now find the black hardware option in the DoorBuilder tool, available through the distributor portal at TotalDoor.com.

Important reminders
There are some tools in your portal that can make your job easier. This is just a quick note to highlight a few ways you can use them to your advantage.
You can find some valuable key information available within our CRM, accessible through your portal. This includes distributor and installation contact information for your territory as well as sales to your distributors under your rep account.
Also, part of the sales pitch for Total Door products is the strict quality control we put into every aspect of our product production, delivery and installation. In order to achieve this stellar reputation certified installers are required to make sure the job is done correctly. It is in all our best interest that your distributors understand this and are educated in the project management process. As always, we are here to help should any of them run into a problem, including the availability of John Pierre to FaceTime with the installer during the process.
The latest in our SafeFrame campaign
We continue to create new marketing materials to keep the momentum going with our SafeFrame™ campaign. We have brought in a professional photographer to capture beautiful product shots that will be available for you to use.
Also, we have created a new video touting some of SafeFrame’s advantages that resonate well with contractors. It will also be available for you to use in your own marketing efforts. You can view the new video below.
Feedback from the field
Ensuring that all of our products are made to comply with the strictest codes has always been a priority at Total Door. Lately we have been getting some good feedback that this is indeed an important selling point for our products.
We have heard from distributors that they find that Total Door being BHMA certified (including BHMA 156.32) is a meaningful selling point for them and to their customers. We have also heard that architects who have looked into our new SafeFrame™ system found the life safety certifications and smoke containment aspect of the product meaningful.
To create a deeper tie between our products and the building, fire, and life safety codes we adhere to, we are in the process of creating a Know Your Code eBook and interactive checklist. This will be available for download on our website once it is finished. It will be a useful guide for architects and contractors to use in their planning and building. And, of course, you and your distributors may find it handy, too.
